Applicant registration

Wednesday 1 April – 23:59JST, Friday 31 July 2020

Proceed to the Application Site ’s Entry Registration Screen and input the applicant’s information (*1). Once inputted, an “Applicant Page” will be created. The entry of works and payment of the application fee will be handled from the Applicant Page. The language of the Application Site can be switched between Japanese and English from the menu button at the top right of the screen.

*All applicant registration from 2019 has been reset. If you have applied for last year, please register again.
*If your E-mail application is set to filter messages based on domain, please set the filters to accept messages from “”.

Registration of information and image data of entry works

Wednesday 1 April – 23:59JST, Friday 31 July 2020

Please upload the work information and poster image data from “ work registration” button on the Applicant Page .

  • Mode is RGB color, and the image size is specified as 728px width, 1,030px height.
  • The file size is limited to 1 MB per piece.
  • The data format is JPEG (with extension jpg or jpeg).
  • The file name must be half-width alphanumeric characters only (blank space not allowed).

Payment of Application Fee

Proceed from “ Payment” button on the Applicant Page . Payment method can be by Bank transfer or Credit card.

  • Bank Transfer
  • In the Payment section, select bank transfer as your payment method. An E-mail with receipt number will be sent to you immediately, so please indicate this number when you make bank transfer. The bank transfer fee should be paid by the applicant. Applications will be accepted up to the payment due date, but please note that the times for accepting and processing a bank transfer on that day may vary depending on your financial institution.
  • Credit Card
  • Online payment system “Stripe” is used in the Payment section. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, and Discover.

Application fees must be paid by the due date. Your application is complete once the Secretariat confirms the payment.

[Selected applicants only] Submission of selected actual posters for third round judging

Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September 2020 (Designated on arrival date)

After online judging (first round and second round), selected works will be announced on Monday 7 September 2020. Selected applicants are to send the selected actual posters for third round judging to the JAGDA International Student Poster Award Secretariat. Additionally, please send image data of the works by E-mail.

  • The poster should be produced full size B1. It must be printed material. Print the data as it was applied online (cannot be changed).
  • 3-dimensional works, untrimmed works, paneled works, mounted works and framed works are not permitted.
  • For each piece of work, attach one label (for a series, one label per each separate piece) with tape at the bottom right on the back side of the work. Please use the label attached to this email.
  • To avoid damage during delivery, be sure to wrap the submission carefully.
  • Delivery fees shall be paid by the applicant.
  • Mode is CMYK color, 350 dpi resolution, and the image size is specified as 182mm width, 257mm height.
  • The data format is JPEG (with extension jpg or jpeg).
