STEP 1. Registration

Saturday, 1 May – Friday, 31 July, 2021

Proceed to the application page to submit your details. Once submitted, “MY PAGE” will be created. Submission of work(s) and application fee payment can be completed on MY PAGE. The language setting can be changed at the top right corner of the page.

*Applicants’ information from the previous years has been deleted. Even if you have registered in the past, you will need to register again.
*If your e-mail is set to filter messages, please make sure to accept incoming messages from the domain “jagda-gakusei.jp”.

STEP 2. Submission of Description and Digital Data

Saturday, 1 May – 23:59 JST(UTC+9), Saturday, 31 July, 2021

On MY PAGE, fill out the description and upload the digital data of your poster.

Requirements for uploading the digital data
  • ・The color mode must be RGB with dimensions of width 728 pixels x height 1,030 pixels.
  • ・The file size must be 1 MB or smaller per file.
  • ・The format must be JPEG (the file extension can be .jpg or .jpeg).
  • ・The file name must contain alphanumeric characters only (spaces are not allowed).

STEP 3. Payment of Application Fee

The application fee can be paid via bank transfer or credit card.

Bank Transfer
In the payment section of MY PAGE, select bank transfer as your preferred method of payment. A receipt number will be issued and sent to you by email. Please indicate this number when making the bank transfer.
Note: Any incurring fees are payable by the applicant. Payments processed prior to or on Monday, 2 August, 2021 are accepted. However, please note that the processing time may vary depending on your financial institution.
Credit Cards
In the payment section of MY PAGE, “Stripe” (an online payment service) can be selected. Accepted credit cards are: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club and Discover.

Confirmation of Entry

Application fees must be paid by the deadline. Your application will be complete once the Secretariat confirms the payment.

STEP 4. [Selected Applicants Only] Submission of Printed Posters and Digital Data

Tuesday, 21 and Wednesday, 24 September, 2021

Selected works will be announced on Monday, 6 September, 2021, following the online judging sessions (first and second round). Selected applicants are to send in printed poster(s) to the JAGDA International Student Poster Award Secretariat for the third round of judging. At the same time, the digital data of the poster(s) should also be sent to the Secretariat by e-mail.

Requirements for Printed Poster Submission (by mail)
The poster must be a printed material in B1 size. It must be the exact same design as the previously submitted work (any alterations of the design are not accepted).
  • ・Three-dimensional, untrimmed, paneled, mounted and/or framed works are not accepted.
  • ・A label must be taped at the bottom right corner of the back side of each poster (*for a series, one label per poster). This label will be sent by e-mail from the Secretariat along with the announcement of selection.
  • ・To prevent shipping damages, pack with extra care.
  • ・Shipping and any other incurring fees are payable by the applicant.
Requirements for Digital Data Submission (by e-mail)
  • ・The color mode must be CMYK with a resolution of 350 dpi and dimensions of width 182 mm x height 257 mm.
  • ・The format must be JPEG (the file extension can be .jpg or .jpeg).
